Ben Mclemore

Born on February 11, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri, Ben McLemore III embarked on his basketball journey at a young age. After attending multiple high schools, including Oak Hill Academy and Christian Life Center, he was highly regarded as a four-star recruit. He committed to play college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, where he made a significant impact during his redshirt freshman year, averaging 15.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game during the 2012-2013 season. His strong collegiate performance led him to be named a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award and garnered attention from professional scouts.

McLemore was selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, marking the beginning of his professional career. He spent four seasons with the Kings before moving to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2017. He later returned to the Kings in 2018, followed by stints with the Houston Rockets (2019–2021), Los Angeles Lakers (2021), and Portland Trail Blazers (2021–2022). Throughout his time in the NBA, McLemore played in 556 regular-season games, averaging 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. His career highlights include being named Western Conference Rookie of the Month in November 2013 and participating in the 2014 Sprite Slam Dunk contest.

Following his NBA career, McLemore transitioned to international basketball, playing for teams such as the Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin in China (2023), AEK Athens in Greece (2023), Río Breogán in Spain (2023–2024), and Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli in Turkey (2024–2025). His career demonstrated adaptability across various leagues and teams, showcasing his skills as a shooting guard on a global stage.
