Benedict Wong

Benedict Wong is an acclaimed British actor known for his versatile performances across stage and screen, including his established role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and significant roles in critically recognized films and television series. After gaining early recognition for his role as Guo Yi in the 2002 film Dirty Pretty Things, which earned him a British Independent Film Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, Benedict Wong went on to establish a versatile career across stage and screen. Wong began his professional acting journey with roles such as his debut in the 1993 BBC Radio play Kai Mei Sauce, and further cemented his presence in British acting circles with his portrayal of Errol Spears in the BBC sitcom 15 Storeys High from 2002 to 2004. Wong’s career progressed through a series of notable film roles, including Trey in Danny Boyle’s Sunshine (2007) and Thompson in Duncan Jones’ Moon (2009).

In 2021, he also earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Male for his performance in Nine Days and lent his voice to the character Tong in the animated feature Raya and the Last Dragon. In 2022, Wong expanded his Marvel role to television, featuring prominently in the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Most recently, Wong has continued to diversify his portfolio, including a voice role in the animated film The Magician’s Elephant (2023). In 2024, he took on a main role as Da Shi in the critically well-received Netflix series 3 Body Problem, further showcasing his range and consistent demand in high-profile projects across both film and television.
