Blake Proud

Blake Proud was born in Perth, Western Australia. His interest in food and culture led him to teach himself cooking, developing a passion for experimenting with different flavors and produce. This passion eventually led to his public debut as a contestant on the popular television show, My Kitchen Rules, on Channel 7. His appearance on the show established his presence in the culinary and media landscape, making his name and ‘B Cap’ recognizable in Perth.

Following his success on My Kitchen Rules, Blake continued his career in media and food. He became a presenter for Channel 9’s ‘Our State on a Plate,’ showcasing his extensive knowledge and love for Western Australia’s diverse culinary offerings and natural beauty. He also became a presenter for ‘Ready 4 Adventure,’ further expanding his reach in showcasing destinations and experiences. His career progression highlights his dedication to promoting his home state’s produce, people, and adventures.

Beyond his television work, Blake Proud has actively engaged in initiatives that align with his values. He serves as a BarbeCURE® Ambassador for Cure Cancer, supporting cancer research through fundraising efforts. His involvement in this campaign is driven by personal experiences with the devastating effects of cancer within his family and friends. Blake’s goal is to continue exploring and highlighting Western Australia’s unique aspects, sharing its great destinations, produce, and vibrant community.
