Bonnie Hunt

Bonnie Hunt is an accomplished actress, comedian, writer, director, and producer known for her versatile talents across film and television. Her work ranges from iconic voice roles in animated blockbusters to creating and starring in her own critically acclaimed television series. After co-founding the improvisational comedy troupe, An Impulsive Thing, in 1984, Bonnie Hunt went on to join Chicago’s renowned Second City in 1986, a pivotal step that propelled her into film. Her feature film debut came in 1988 with a role as a waitress in Barry Levinson’s Oscar-winning Rain Man.

She quickly established herself in Hollywood with her comedic timing and relatable persona, gaining recognition in family films such as Beethoven (1992) and Beethoven’s 2nd (1993). A significant turning point in her career was her partnership with David Letterman, which led to the creation of her own television series, The Building (1993), where she served as creator, writer, producer, and star. Hunt continued to build her impressive filmography, starring in hit movies like Jumanji (1995) as Sarah Whittle, and Jerry Maguire (1996) as Laurel Boyd. She further developed her presence in television with her self-created, produced, and starring role in Bonnie (1995-1996), a series noted for its improvisational style.

Flint in Monsters, Inc. (2001), Sally Carrera in the Cars franchise (starting 2006), Dolly in the Toy Story franchise (starting 2010), and Bonnie Hopps in Zootopia (2016). From 2008 to 2010, she hosted The Bonnie Hunt Show, a syndicated talk show that was honored with a Gracie Award for ‘Outstanding Talk Show’ in 2009. She further showcased her directing talents with the ‘Eddie’ segment of Call Me Crazy: A Five Film (2013).
