Bonnie Hunt

Bonnie Lynn Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, began her career in an unconventional path, working as an oncology nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Her innate talent for comedy led her to co-found the improvisational comedy troupe, An Impulsive Thing, in 1984. By 1986, Hunt had joined Chicago’s renowned Second City, a pivotal step that soon propelled her into the world of film. Her feature film debut came in 1988 with a role as a waitress in Barry Levinson’s Oscar-winning “Rain Man,” a part she secured during her lunch break from nursing.
