Brandon Holt

Brandon Holt was born on April 6, 1998, in Torrance, California, and grew up in Rolling Hills. He started playing tennis at age 5 and played collegiately for the University of Southern California from 2016 to 2020. During his time at USC, he was recognized as an All-American athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for three consecutive seasons. He also earned the 2019 Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year honors while majoring in business at USC. Holt comes from a prominent tennis family; his mother, Tracy Austin, was a former WTA World No. 1 and a two-time US Open Women’s Singles champion. His uncles, Jeff and John Austin, and aunt Pam Austin, were also professional tennis players. This background provided a foundational understanding and exposure to professional tennis early in his life.

Holt turned professional in 2020. His professional career began with a series of successes on the ITF Futures and World Tennis Tour (WTT) circuits, where he accumulated 8 singles titles and 5 doubles titles by early 2024. A significant milestone occurred at the 2022 US Open, where, ranked No. 303, he made his Grand Slam main draw debut as a qualifier, upsetting the 10th seed and world No. 12 Taylor Fritz. This marked his first career win on the ATP Tour and his first top-15 victory. He continued his Grand Slam presence by qualifying for the 2023 Australian Open and reaching the second round, followed by his Masters 1000 main draw debut at Indian Wells in the same year. In 2024, Holt reached two Challenger finals, contributing to his return to the top 250 rankings. His dedication to the ATP Challenger Tour paid off significantly in early 2025, where he won two titles, including the 2025 Bengaluru Open 125 Challenger.
