Britt Mchenry

Brittany May McHenry, born on May 28, 1986, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, cultivated a career in sports journalism and later media commentary. Growing up in Satellite Beach, Florida, and graduating from Satellite High School in 2004, McHenry was a competitive athlete, playing varsity soccer and continuing at Stetson University as a midfielder for the Hatters in 2004. After graduating magna cum laude from Stetson in 2007, she pursued a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Her career began with WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a sports reporter and fill-in anchor. Following a brief stint with Fox Sports San Diego, McHenry joined ESPN in March 2014 as a Washington, D.C.–based bureau reporter. During her tenure at ESPN, she contributed to prominent shows such as SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, NFL Live, and Baseball Tonight. She remained with ESPN until April 2017, when she announced her departure as part of significant layoffs at the network.

Post-ESPN, McHenry transitioned into conservative media. She became a contributor to The Federalist and frequently appeared as a guest on Fox News. In 2018, she joined Fox News and Fox Nation, co-hosting “Un-PC” on the digital streaming service. Her later work included hosting a show on WTTG Fox 5 in Washington, D.C., and hosting the podcast, Pump the Brakes. Throughout her career, McHenry has publicly shared her conservative perspectives and discussed her experiences in the media industry.
