Petrolhead Cameron Waters is one of Australia’s brightest young professional racing drivers. A graduate of karting, he is the youngest ever winner of the Australian Formula Ford Championship, as well as the youngest ever driver (at 17-years-of-age) to contest the Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar event after winning the Shannons Supercar Showdown reality TV show in 2011.
Born and raised in Mildura, Australia, Waters started his racing career in go-karts, collecting multiple national and State championships. He then graduated to Formula Vee in 2009 when he was 15-years-old. The following year he moved into the Australian Formula Ford Championship, finishing sixth as the top rookie, before taking the outright title in his second campaign. In 2011 he won the Shannons Supercar Showdown, a reality TV show run by Kelly Racing, where ten drivers were given the opportunity to compete for a drive in the Bathurst 1000. He then debuted in the Dunlop Super2 Series, and by 2014 was picked up by Ford Performance Racing. He was runner-up in his first season and champion the next. He won the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series in 2015, as well as the South Australian Late Model Championship, and in 2018 he claimed the Modified Production Australian Speedway Title.
