Talented actress and singer Candice King is best known for her starring role in The Vampire Diaries and in spin-off show The Originals, and has released an album.
Born in Houston, Texas, King independently released her debut album when she was still a teenager. Titled It’s Always the Innocent Ones, the record achieved great success when it was re-released in Japan two years later, and the young singer joined Miley Cyrus on her Best of Both Worlds Tour. Soon after, she began guest appearing on television shows such as How I Met Your Mother and Supernatural, landing her breakout role as Caroline Forbes in The Vampire Diaries in 2009. As one of the main characters on the show, King became a household name, also appearing in Dating Rules from my Future Self during her time with the series. She remained a central character in the programme until 2017, also appearing in spin off show The Originals the following year. Outside of her successful television career, King is also a podcast host, co-anchoring the Directionally Challenged podcast in which her and Kayla Ewell attempt to answer life’s big questions along with special guests.
Most recently, King has continued to appear on television, starring in The Orville in 2019, and in The Originals spin-off Legacies in 2021. She remains a highly sought after actress, also landing a role in 2020 film After We Collided and continuing to build on her reputation as a versatile and skillful actress.
