Alessandro Juliani

Born on July 6, 1975, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Alessandro Juliani is the son of producer, actor, and writer John Juliani, and Donna Wong, who co-founded Savage God and Opera Breve in Vancouver. He later moved to Vancouver, where he currently resides, and pursued formal education at McGill University in Montreal, earning a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. His career began in the early 1990s with initial voice work, building a foundation for his extensive contributions to the entertainment industry. Juliani’s ability to integrate his singing talents into his roles is a notable aspect of his craft.

Juliani has carved out a significant career through numerous roles, demonstrating his range across different mediums. He gained wide recognition for his portrayal of Tactical Officer Lieutenant Felix Gaeta in the reimagined “Battlestar Galactica” series (2003–2009). This role, filmed primarily in Vancouver, showcased his acting and vocal abilities, particularly in the episode “Guess What’s Coming to Dinner?” where his character’s singing was a key plot element. Following “Battlestar Galactica,” he continued to secure prominent television roles, including Dr. Emil Hamilton in “Smallville” (2009–2011), Jacapo Sinclair on “The 100” (2014–2017), and Dr. Cerberus in the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”

Beyond live-action, Juliani is a prolific voice actor, lending his voice to numerous animated projects and video games. He is particularly known for voicing L in the English version of the anime series “Death Note” and its live-action film adaptations, a role for which he received the 2008 Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation Award for Best Voice Actor.
