During her collegiate career, she earned three AVCA All-America honors, becoming only the second player in the school’s history to achieve this distinction before graduating in Social Welfare in July 2011. Lloyds professional journey commenced in January 2011 when she joined the U.S. Women’s National Team. She made her international debut at the 2011 Pan American Games, helping the U.S.
secure a bronze medal. Following her national team debut, Lloyd embarked on a prolific international club career, starting with Yamamay Busto Arsizio where she secured significant victories including the Italian Cup, Italian League, and CEV Cup in the 2011-12 season. She also won the Italian Supercup in 2012 and contributed to a bronze medal finish in the CEV Champions League in the 201213 season. Lloyd continued her decorated club career, notably with Pomì Casalmaggiore, winning the Italian Supercup and the CEV Champions League in 2015.
Her leadership on the national stage earned her the USA Volleyball Female Indoor Player of the Year award in 2017. That same year, she also secured a bronze medal at the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup. In 2018, Lloyd guided Team USA to another gold medal at the FIVB Volleyball Nations League. Her club success extended to Dentil Praia Clube where she was runner-up at the 2018 Minas Gerais Championship, won the 2018 Brazilian Supercup, and was runner-up at the 201819 Brazilian Superliga.
Currently, Carli Lloyd brings her extensive experience and leadership as a setter for LOVB Austin. Throughout her career, which also included stints with Lokomotiv Baku, Prosecco Doc-Imoco Conegliano, Hinode Barueri, Eczac?ba?? VitrA, and Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball, she has consistently demonstrated elite setting skills and a proven track record of success at the highest levels of professional volleyball, inspiring new generations in the sport.
