Carlos Sainz Jr.

Carlos Sainz Jr. is a Spanish racing driver who has competed in Formula One for multiple teams, currently racing for Williams. After winning the prestigious Formula Renault 3.5 Series championship in 2014 with DAMS, Carlos Sainz Jr. made his highly anticipated Formula One debut in 2015 with Toro Rosso, quickly demonstrating his capabilities alongside Max Verstappen.

His talent was evident from an early age in motorsport, securing the Asia-Pacific KF3 title in 2008, the Junior Monaco Kart Cup in 2009, and the Formula Renault NEC championship in 2011 with Koiranen. These early successes established his talent and paved the way for his ascent into the pinnacle of motorsport. Sainz’s Formula One career saw a steady progression through top-tier teams. Following several seasons with Toro Rosso, he transitioned to Renault in late 2017 before making a significant move to McLaren in 2019.

It was with McLaren that he achieved his maiden Formula One podium at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, showcasing his ability to compete at the front of the pack. His consistent, strong performances captured the attention of the paddock, leading to a coveted drive with Ferrari in 2021. With Ferrari, Sainz reached new career heights, securing his first Formula One pole position and maiden Grand Prix win at the 2022 British Grand Prix. He continued to build on this success, adding further victories with the team at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, and both the 2024 Australian Grand Prix and 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix.
