Cedric the Entertainer starred on the Steve Harvey Show, breaking records by winning four NAACP Awards in a row.
With over thirty years in entertainment, Cedric’s done voice-acting, hosting, and standup comedy. He got his start presenting both ComicView and Def Comedy Jam, winning The Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award. He’d go on to host major game shows like Cedric’s Barber Battle, It’s Worth What?, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and The Greatest #StayAtHome Videos.
In standup, he’s known as one of the Original Kings of Comedy. Some of his standup interludes have been featured by the likes of Nelly and Jay-Z on both their multi-platinum albums. His success opened the doors for his own comedy sketch show, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, earning an Aftra Award. He even had the opportunity to perform at the White House Correspondents Dinner for George and Laura Bush.
As for acting, he’s well known for starring in the Barbershop movies as Eddie Walker, and often produces his own films with his production company, A Bird and a Bear Entertainment. Some stars he’s worked with include Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Beyoncé, to name a few. He’s also starred in major network TV shows like The Neighborhood, The Soul Man, The Proud Family, among others. His voiceover work includes Charlotte’s Web, Ice Age, and the Madagascar movies. All of these contributions led to him being honored by both the St Louis and Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Other creative pursuits include his Superbowl commercial for Budlight, directing the movie Dance Fu, appearing on Broadway in American Buffalo, creating his own designer hat line, and even writing his own book, Grown-Ass Man, which sold out nationwide.
Lastly, he founded his own charity to help inner-city youth.
