Muhammad Alif bin Mohd Satar, known professionally as Alif Satar, was born on September 19, 1990, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His career in entertainment commenced at a young age, with early performances in school events and a role as a Lost Boy in the West End production of Peter Pan – The Musical at 14. At 16, Alif gained significant recognition as a contestant on the inaugural season of 8TV’s reality singing competition, One in a Million, in 2006. He showcased his vocal talent throughout the competition, ultimately securing third place in the Grand Finale.
Following his success on One in a Million, Alif expanded his career into music, acting, and television hosting. He released his debut album, “Nakal,” in 2009, followed by “Lelaki Seperti Aku” in 2011 and “Definisi” in 2013, solidifying his presence as a recording artist. Concurrently, his acting career began in 2008 with a role in the television series “Dendam.” His acting profile grew with notable appearances in popular romance dramas and films, including “Aliff Dalam 7 Dimensi” (2016) and “Red Velvet” (2017). His work in “Dia Semanis Honey” (2016) was particularly impactful, leading to a musical theater adaptation.
Alif’s career also includes extensive television hosting, featuring in shows such as “Idola Kecil” and “Big Stage.” His versatility led to a collaboration with Ricky Martin on a 2014 FIFA World Cup song, alongside other Asian singers. He continued to engage in musical collaborations, re-recording the song “Sesungguhnya” with the Malaysian nasheed group Raihan in 2019 and releasing his single “I Want You To Love Me” in the same year. In 2018, he competed in the Ironman 70.3 race in Langkawi, demonstrating his commitment beyond professional endeavors. He has continued to take on diverse acting roles in films like “Pulau” (2023) and “Reeza GTR” (2024), and various television series and movies, maintaining a consistent and active presence in the entertainment landscape.
