Charlie Brooker

Charlie Brooker is a distinguished English humourist, critic, author, screenwriter, producer, and television presenter, celebrated for his incisive cultural commentary and speculative fiction. He is most widely recognized as the creator of the BAFTA and Emmy-winning anthology series ‘Black Mirror’. After crafting the critically acclaimed five-part horror thriller ‘Dead Set’ for E4 in 2008, Charlie Brooker went on to become the visionary creator, writer, and executive producer of the BAFTA and Emmy-winning anthology series ‘Black Mirror’. Brooker first established his distinctive voice as a humourist and critic in the late 1980s as a writer and cartoonist for the comic ‘Oink!’, followed by contributions to ‘PC Zone’ magazine in the mid-to-late 1990s.

His early foray into digital satire included the creation of the influential website ‘TVGoHome’ from 1999 to 2003, featuring mock TV schedules. Concurrently, he penned the widely read ‘Screen Burn’ TV review column for ‘The Guardian’ from 2000 to 2010, solidifying his reputation for incisive cultural commentary.
