Kate Snow serves as a National Board Member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, joining the Central New Mexico branch in 1996 and later the New York City branch's Board of Trustees in 2017. She received the Charles G. Berwind Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.

Katherine Elizabeth Snow, professionally known as Kate Snow, was born on June 10, 1969, in Bangor, Maine. She spent her early years in Burnt Hills, New York, and pursued higher education at Cornell University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in 1991. Demonstrating an early interest in global affairs, she furthered her studies at Georgetown University, completing a Master of Science degree in Foreign Studies in 1993. Her career in journalism began with roles at National Public Radio (NPR) and NBC Radio, followed by a period as a reporter at KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 1995 to 1998. She then progressed to CNN, where she served as a reporter from 1998 to 2003.
In 2003, Snow joined ABC, initially as Good Morning America’s White House reporter. Her dedication and expertise led to her appointment as co-host of Good Morning America Weekend Edition from 2004 to 2010. During her tenure at ABC, she played a significant role covering the 2008 presidential race, including Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and Sarah Palin’s vice presidential campaign. In 2010, Snow transitioned to NBC News as a correspondent for Dateline NBC, expanding her contributions across various NBC platforms. She served as a correspondent for Rock Center with Brian Williams from 2011 to 2013 and became a Senior National Correspondent for NBC News.
Snow’s career at NBC News has been marked by significant achievements and impactful reporting. She began anchoring the Sunday broadcast of NBC Nightly News in September 2015, a role she held until February 2024. That same month, she started hosting a two-hour block on MSNBC Live. In 2016, she received a News & Documentary Emmy Award for her interview with numerous women who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault, which aired on Dateline NBC. In April 2017, she focused entirely on her role as Senior National Correspondent at NBC News, covering a wide range of stories for NBC Nightly News, Today, and Dateline NBC. Since September 2022, she has also co-anchored a two-hour block of NBC News Daily.
