Born on July 12, 1964, in Boston, Massachusetts, Charlie Hides attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design before beginning his career in entertainment. He built a presence through live performances in London clubs. In March 2011, Hides launched his YouTube channel, Charlie Hides TV, which became a significant platform for his comedy. He quickly gained recognition for hundreds of videos satirizing popular culture and impersonating celebrities, including Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Lana Del Rey. Hides appeared on the TV show “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side” in 2015, performing celebrity impersonations. He also had a cameo role as a drag performer in the 2016 film “Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.” A turning point in his career came with his casting in the ninth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which premiered in March 2017.
