Quandre Diggs

Quandre Diggs was born on January 22, 1993, in Angleton, Texas. He attended Angleton High School, where he primarily played cornerback and safety, occasionally taking on the role of quarterback. ESPN.com ranked him as the top-ranked cornerback in the Class of 2011. Diggs continued his football career at the University of Texas, playing for the Longhorns from 2011 to 2014 under head coaches Mack Brown and Charlie Strong. During his college tenure, he played in 52 games, starting 49 of them. He was named the Big 12 Conference Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2011 and also earned Second-team All-Big 12 honors in the same year. In 2013, he received an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. Diggs concluded his collegiate career tied for ninth on the University of Texas’s all-time interceptions list with 11 and tied for ninth with 37 career pass breakups.

Diggs was selected by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round (200th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He initially played as a cornerback for the Lions, making his professional debut in the 2015 season opener. In 2017, he transitioned to safety, a move that proved significant in his career. In 2018, he signed a three-year contract extension with the Lions. A turning point occurred in October 2019 when Diggs was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. With the Seahawks, he achieved significant recognition, being named to three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2020 to 2022. During this period, he recorded notable statistics, including multiple interceptions and defensive plays. In Week 18 of the 2021 season, Diggs sustained an ankle injury and a fibula fracture. In March 2022, he signed a three-year, $40 million extension with the Seahawks. On March 5, 2024, he was released by the Seahawks, and subsequently signed with the Tennessee Titans on August 6, 2024. He started eight games for the Titans, recording 42 tackles before being placed on injured reserve due to a Lisfranc fracture. He re-signed with the Titans on August 5, 2025.
