Chris Brady

Christopher Keith Brady was born on March 3, 2004, in Naperville, Illinois. He joined the Chicago Fire Academy in 2017, progressing through the U-14, U-15, U-16, and U-17 levels. During his time with the Fire Academy, Brady made 48 appearances, consistently training under Academy goalkeeper coach Igor Dimov. His performance led to his first international call-up to the U-15 U.S. Boys’ National Team in 2019, where he participated in a domestic training camp in Carson, California. These early experiences laid the groundwork for his professional career.

Brady signed a Homegrown contract with Chicago Fire FC on March 24, 2020, becoming the 19th Homegrown signing in the club’s history. He was subsequently loaned to Forward Madison in USL League One, where he made his professional debut on August 23, 2020. In his first season with Forward Madison, Brady earned three clean sheets and was recognized as the USL League One Young Player of the Year in November 2020. He returned for another loan spell with Forward Madison in 2021 before making his MLS debut for Chicago Fire FC on October 9, 2022. Brady continued his development with Chicago Fire II in MLS Next Pro, playing 12 matches in 2022.

His career progression accelerated in 2023 when he became the second-youngest goalkeeper in Chicago Fire franchise history to record a win, and the second-youngest in League history to achieve a shutout. Brady was named Chicago Fire FC Defender of the Year in 2023 and was selected as the only goalkeeper for the BODYARMOR 22 Under 22 list. Internationally, he led the U-20 USMYNT to the CONCACAF U-20 Championship title in 2022, earning Golden Glove honors. He has also been called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team, participating in training camps and being named to the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup roster. In 2025, he was named to the 2025 22 Under 22 class for the third consecutive year, reaching his highest ranking at No. 11.
