Chris Sabia is a professional lacrosse defenseman who has achieved recognition as a 2022 Champion with the Philadelphia Waterdogs, a 1st Team All-American, and the 2019 Big Ten Defenseman of the Year. He now engages in community service and brand collaborations. After being named a 1st Team All-American and the Big Ten Defenseman of the Year in 2019, Chris Sabia went on to establish himself as a premier professional lacrosse defenseman, culminating in a 2022 PLL Championship with the Philadelphia Waterdogs. During his collegiate career at Penn State, Sabia was a prominent figure in men’s lacrosse, earning recognition as a three-time All-Big Ten selection and a two-time USILA All-America Honorable Mention.
Serving as a team captain, he started all 58 games, registering an impressive 67 career caused turnovers, 102 ground balls, eight goals, and one assist. His leadership was pivotal in guiding Penn State’s defense to achieve the program’s first-ever No. 1 national ranking. Beyond the field, Sabia earned Academic All-Big Ten honors while pursuing a major in labor and employment relations with a business minor.
Currently, Sabia continues to actively pursue his professional lacrosse career while strategically developing a career in sales. He is also committed to giving back to the sport, aiming to contribute to youth lacrosse as a coach. Sabia adeptly integrates his professional sports career with meaningful community engagement and strategic brand partnerships, leveraging his platform to support various initiatives.
