Chrissy Metz

Christine Michelle Metz was born on September 29, 1980, in Homestead, Florida. She spent her early years in Japan, where her father was stationed with the US Navy, before her family moved to Gainesville, Florida. Her first job was at a McDonald’s restaurant. Metz’s acting career began with minor television roles, including an appearance in an episode of ‘Entourage’ in 2005 and ‘My Name Is Earl’ in 2008. A significant early role was Shoshanna in the TV series ‘Huge’ in 2010. She also took on a recurring role as Ima ‘Barbara’ Wiggles in five episodes of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ from 2014 to 2015.

Metz achieved widespread recognition for her main role as Kate Pearson in the NBC drama series ‘This Is Us’, which ran from 2016 to 2022, spanning 106 episodes.
