Master Perfumer Christophe Laudamiel first demonstrated his exceptional talent by winning the French National Chemistry Olympiads in 1986 and a bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Helsinki in 1988. He earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the European Higher Institute of Chemistry in Strasbourg in 1991, and served as a Procter & Gamble Teaching Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a teaching assistant at Harvard University. In 1994, Laudamiel joined the Procter & Gamble Creative Perfumery School, earning his creative perfumery degree in 1997. His contributions to fragrance innovation, particularly in fabric softeners and new molecule discoveries, earned him the Procter & Gamble Special Recognition Award in 1999, leading to his promotion to Senior Perfumer by Society Master Perfumer Rafael Trujillo.
In 2019, his expertise led to his appointment as Chief Perfumer to BélAir Lab in Tokyo, a perfume composition and technology studio managed by Rohto Pharmaceuticals. Laudamiel continues to shape the future of perfumery through his leadership as a founder and president of the non-profit Academy of Perfumery and Aromatics. He also serves as Master Perfumer at Generation by Osmo, an innovative AI-native fragrance house, pushing the boundaries of olfactory creation.
