Britt Herbots was born on September 24, 1999, in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, where both her parents coached volleyball. Her formal club career began in 2014 with Topsportschool Vilvoorde. By 2015, at the age of 16, Herbots joined Asterix Avo, a prominent club in Belgium. During her two seasons with Asterix Avo (2015-2017), she achieved significant success, securing two Belgian Championship titles, two Cups, and a Supercup. This early period established her as a rising talent in Belgian volleyball.
Her career progressed to international leagues, moving to ASPTT Mulhouse in France for the 2017-2018 season. Following her time in France, Herbots transitioned to Italy’s top league, Serie A1. She joined Busto Arsizio for the 2018-2020 seasons, where she was recognized with the CEV Cup MVP award. She then moved to Igor Gorgonzola Novara (2020-2022), followed by a season with Firenze (2022-2023). From 2023 to 2025, she played for Savino del Bene Scandicci, and is scheduled to return to Novara in 2025.
Herbots also holds a significant role in the Belgian women’s national volleyball team, which she officially joined in 2016 at 17 years old. She has consistently been a key player, notably being the best scorer at the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League, where she scored 30 or more points in a single match four times. Her contributions led to a silver medal in the 2022 FIVB Challenger Cup, showcasing her impact on both club and international stages.
