Clive Standen has built a diverse acting career across television, film, and video games. After securing a place on the three-year acting course at the London Academy of Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Clive Standen quickly established a diverse acting career across television, film, and video games. A highly skilled physical performer, Standen was an international Muay Thai Boxer and a Fencing gold medalist in his late teens, having begun working with a professional stunt team and developing ambidextrous sword-fighting capabilities at the age of 12. At 15, he was a member of both the prestigious National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Music Theatre, where he performed in lead roles at iconic venues including The Royal Albert Hall and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Expanding his craft into voice acting, Standen lent his talents to video games including ‘Aliens vs. Predator’ (2010) and ‘Inversion’ (2012). Most recently, he appeared as Andre Ford in the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series ‘The Morning Show’ in 2023. Clive Standen continues to engage with his iconic ‘Vikings’ legacy as the co-host of the ‘Vikcast’ podcast alongside Amy Bailey, where they discuss the series and other related topics.
