Henrik Larsson

Henrik Larsson, a revered Swedish international footballer, has transitioned from a prolific striker on the field to a respected manager and advocate for various sports initiatives. His career is marked by significant achievements in top European leagues and a deep engagement with community sports. After contributing to Helsingborgs IF’s promotion to the Allsvenskan in 1992, Henrik Larsson went on to achieve significant success across European football. His professional trajectory began with Feyenoord in November 1993, where he secured two KNVB Cups in 1994 and 1995.

Larsson then joined Celtic F.C. in July 1997, marking the beginning of a transformative seven-season tenure where he became an iconic figure. During this period, he won the Scottish Premier Division in 1997–98 and was recognized with both the SFWA Footballer of the Year and SPFA Players’ Player of the Year awards in 1999. Demonstrating immense resilience, Larsson returned stronger after a career-threatening leg injury in 1999.

Larsson continued his coaching journey with two stints managing Helsingborgs IF, first from 2015 to 2016 and again in 2019. Most recently, he served as assistant coach for FC Barcelona from 2020 to 2021, reuniting with the club where he achieved Champions League glory as a player.
