Cody and Wyatt are pop music superfans, YouTubers and creators and hosts of GayPop!. Their original YouTube channel where the pair shares their love of pop culture, paintings and dance covers now has more than 421,000 subscribers and accumulates over 5 million monthly views. Cody Gene Schmitz and Wyatt Stark both have their own successful YouTube channels, but the couple’s joint channel has truly captured the imagination of millions of fans around the globe.
K-Pop fanatic Schmitz grew up in Concordia, Kansas before moving New York City. He is a unique and talented artist who often shares how he creates his pop art masterpieces (such as a painting of Ariana Grande created using her album as a paintbrush) on the Cody & Wyatt YouTube channel. Stark had a different background, studying sports management at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas before launching his YouTube career with Schmitz.
Together the pair have grown a huge fan base thanks to reaction videos and parodies such as 2018’s “Katy Perry Reacts to Twice” which has been viewed an incredible 6.4 million times on YouTube. The couple have now launched their own podcast, Girl Talk, where they chat enthusiastically about their love for the women running pop, including Lady Gaga, Red Velvet and more, and interview special guests from the world of pop about what makes women-lead music so fantastic.
