Courtney Hope

Courtney Ann Hope was born in Plano, Texas, on August 15, 1989. From a young age, she engaged in competitive dance and traveled with a dance troupe, while also pursuing acting, modeling, and gymnastics. She completed her performing arts education at 15 and subsequently moved to Los Angeles. By her 16th birthday, she began college, earning an Associate’s Degree in Psychology by age 18. Hope is also a certified Pilates and fitness instructor, holding a Nutrition and Healthy Living degree from Cornell University. Her early career involved numerous commercials, voice-overs, and print advertisements, totaling over 50 projects.

Hope gained significant recognition for her roles in daytime soap operas. She first appeared as Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful in January 2017, portraying the character for four years. During this period, her character was involved in storylines recreating past iconic rivalries and developing relationships with characters like Liam Spencer and Wyatt Spencer. In 2021, she received her first Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress for her work on The Bold and the Beautiful. In October 2020, Hope transitioned to The Young and the Restless, reprising her role as Sally Spectra. Her performance on The Young and the Restless led to a Daytime Emmy Award win in June 2024 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Beyond television, Courtney Hope has made notable contributions to the video game industry, portraying Jesse Faden in Remedy Entertainment’s “Control” and Beth Wilder in “Quantum Break” by Microsoft Studios. Her work in “Control” earned her a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Performance in 2020, a nomination for Best Performer at The Game Awards, and a Best Performance Award at the New York Video Game Awards. “Control” itself was recognized as Game of the Year by various outlets including Game Informer and IGN. She has also appeared in films such as “Allegiant” (Divergent Series), “Displacement,” which won Best Sci-Fi Movie at the Hollywood Film Festival, and “Swelter,” alongside Jean Claude Van Damme. Her television credits include recurring roles in “Transparent” and guest appearances in “Criminal Minds,” “CSI Miami,” “NCIS,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Bones.” She has also served on the board for the “Breaking The Chains” Organization, focusing on Eating Disorders and Mental Health, since 2018, and on the PGEC for the Television Academy for four years.
