Curzon Dobell

Curzon Dobell has established a diverse acting career spanning stage, screen, and video games. After establishing an extensive career spanning nearly 40 years across theatre, film, and television, Curzon Dobell quickly became a recognized presence on stage. A member of professional acting unions including SAG and Actors’ Equity, his early theatrical work featured performances at notable New York City venues such as Lincoln Center, the Irish Rep, and Theatre for a New Audience. Regionally, he appeared at the Guthrie Theatre, Baltimore CenterStage, and Syracuse Stage.

Dobell’s international stage presence included company membership at the Stratford Festival and the Grand Theatre Company in Canada, showcasing his broad range in theatrical productions before transitioning into screen roles. Dobell expanded his portfolio into television and film, making his screen debut in ‘Law & Order’ in 1992, followed by an appearance as a Client in ‘Return to Paradise’ in 1998. He continued with roles such as Peter Shipke in ‘Alone’ in 2004 and a subsequent return to ‘Law & Order’ in 2006. A significant career milestone arrived with his casting as Hosea Matthews in the critically acclaimed video game ‘Red Dead Redemption II’ in 2018, which garnered him broader recognition and a new dimension to his acting portfolio.
