Dan Biggar

Daniel Rhys Biggar, born on October 16, 1989, in Morriston, Swansea, Wales, established himself as a prominent fly-half in professional rugby. His youth career began with Gorseinon RFC and Gowerton Comprehensive School before playing for Swansea RFC in the Welsh Premiership. Biggar made his senior debut for Ospreys in 2008 at the age of 18, quickly becoming a key player. He spent 11 years with the Ospreys, making 221 appearances and accumulating 2,203 points, becoming the region’s record point scorer. During his time there, he was instrumental in securing two Pro12 titles in 2010 and 2012, and became the youngest player to reach 100 and 200 appearances for the region.

Biggar’s international career for Wales began in 2008 at the age of 19. He earned 112 caps for his country, scoring over 600 points, and played in three Six Nations title-winning campaigns, including a Grand Slam, and the 2015, 2019, and 2023 Rugby World Cups. He also represented the British & Irish Lions on two tours, in 2017 to New Zealand and 2021 to South Africa, making three Test appearances. In 2018, Biggar moved to English Premiership side Northampton Saints, where he made 69 appearances and contributed to them lifting the Premiership Rugby Cup and reaching the league knock-out stages in his first season. He then joined French club Toulon in November 2022, where he will conclude his 18-year playing career at the end of the 2024-2025 season. In 2015, Biggar was honored with the BBC Cymru Wales Sports Personality of the Year award, recognizing his significant contributions to Welsh sport. He has recently joined Scarlets as a director, transitioning from his playing career to a new role within rugby.
