Dana White is an American businessman, widely recognized as the President and CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is also involved in other ventures such as Power Slap, a slap fighting promotion, and serves on the board of Meta Platforms. After being appointed President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in January 2001, Dana White transformed the organization into a global combat sports powerhouse. White, who previously managed mixed martial artists Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, was instrumental in the acquisition of UFC for $2 million by the Fertitta brothers, forming Zuffa.
In 2006, UFC 66 generated over 1,000,000 pay-per-view buys, demonstrating the sport’s burgeoning appeal. By 2008, Forbes valued the company at an impressive $1.1 billion. Further solidifying its financial standing, Flash Entertainment acquired a 10% stake in Zuffa in 2010. Demonstrating adaptability and foresight, White reversed his earlier stance on women in the UFC, introducing women’s bouts in 2013, which saw Ronda Rousey emerge as a major star and significantly expand the organization’s reach and fan base.
Looking ahead, White is slated to join the board of Meta Platforms in 2025 and is a co-founder of Phorm Energy, also in 2025, further diversifying his influence across technology and wellness sectors.
