Alice Fevronia was born in a riverside town in Essex. At the age of 15, she underwent back surgery for scoliosis. During her recovery, unable to participate in sports, she began baking. This early introduction to baking developed into a significant passion. Later, in her early 20s, while residing in New Zealand, she refined her baking abilities, particularly mastering the fruit pavlova. She also attended art school during this period.
Upon returning to the United Kingdom, Alice pursued a career in education, training to become a Geography teacher. She currently resides in East London, where she incorporates baking into her teaching methods, using cakes to illustrate geographical concepts such as coastal erosion and volcanic activity. Her baking style is characterized by its intricate and delicate nature, consistently delivering rich flavors and demonstrating a high level of enthusiasm.
Alice achieved widespread recognition as a contestant on the tenth series of The Great British Bake Off in 2019, where she reached the final. Her participation allowed her to demonstrate her highly decorative layered cakes, which are designed to create a “wow” effect. Officially placed as a runner-up, the judges unofficially considered her an equal contender for the top spot. Since her time on the show, Alice continues to share her recipes and artistic endeavors.
