Daniel F. Berger was born on April 7, 1993, in Plantation, Florida. He began playing golf at the age of 10 and quickly showed potential, playing on national and international levels throughout his youth. His talent was further developed during his college years at Florida State University, where he excelled in collegiate golf, winning multiple amateur championships and earning All-American honors. Berger turned professional in 2013 at the age of 20, marking the beginning of his journey on the professional golf circuit.
Berger’s professional career began on the Web.com Tour in late 2013. He quickly progressed, earning his PGA Tour card for the 2014-15 season. His rookie year on the PGA Tour was notable, culminating in him being named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. He secured his first PGA Tour victory in 2016 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, a title he successfully defended in 2017. His career includes significant achievements such as winning the Charles Schwab Challenge in 2020, the first PGA Tour event after the COVID-19 hiatus, and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2021 with a decisive eagle on the final hole.
Over his career, Berger has consistently performed at a high level, achieving multiple top-10 finishes in major championships and representing the United States in prestigious team events like the Presidents Cup (2017) and the Ryder Cup (2021), both of which the U.S. team won. His consistent play and tournament wins have established him as a recognized figure in professional golf.
