Having built his foundational success in the automotive industry by establishing David Fishwick Minibus Sales in 1994, Dave Fishwick developed it into Britain’s largest minibus supplier, operating sites in Colne, Birmingham, and Stockport. His early entrepreneurial drive was also evident through ventures in automotive refurbishment and reselling, prior to his specialization in minibuses. From 2004 to 2017, his company sponsored Burnley F.C., leading to the naming of the Turf Moor stadium’s Cricket Field Stand as the David Fishwick Stand. Responding to the 2008 financial crisis and the subsequent lending void, Fishwick founded Burnley Savings and Loans in September 2011.
His television presence expanded with appearances in numerous Channel 4 programs, including ‘The Secret Millions’ (2013), ‘Can Property Pay Your Wages’ (2015), ‘Shoppers Guide to Saving Money’ (2015), ‘Dave’s Guide to Spending’ (2017), and ‘How to Get Rich Quick’ (2018). In 2020, he contributed to the BBC One daytime consumer show ‘Your Money And Your Life.’ His impactful story gained further global recognition through its adaptation into the 2023 Netflix film, ‘Bank of Dave.’ Building on the success of the 2023 Netflix production, Fishwick is set to continue his narrative with the highly anticipated 2025 Netflix sequel, ‘Bank of Dave 2: The Loan Ranger.’ Through his sustained efforts in banking reform, consumer advocacy, and diverse media engagements, Dave Fishwick has established himself as a prominent entrepreneur and media personality, consistently championing financial accessibility and community empowerment.
