Fitness enthusiast, David Birtwhistle, rose to fame after his appearance on Too Hot to Handle in 2020, Netlfix’s crossover between Love Island and Big Brother. The dating show saw Birtwhistle competing for a $100,000 prize, all while abstaining from physical affection among the other singles on the show. David wasn’t told much about the show before agreeing to participate, but he threw himself into the process, gaining a lot of popularity with viewers for his sweet nature.
Birtwhistle walked away from the show with a slice of the prize money, but that didn’t stop him from moving onward and upward. His career was already up and running before the show, when he was a Nike ambassador, and since his stint as a semi-professional rugby player, he has proved to be heavily focussed on physical health and strength. He runs his own online fitness training business, Endeavour Life, is a representative for Helios Retreats – which focus on fitness and yoga – and runs a Youtube to talk about his enthusiasm for cars and motorcycles. He even has a podcast where he gets candid about self-motivation, body image and insecurities he faces in his line of work.
His Instagram has now garnered over a million followers who are desperate to hear more about his life and his work. Though he sometimes promotes brands, he usually uses his platform to post encouraging workout posts and talk about his personal life since Too Hot to Handle.
