David Chokachi

David Chokachi was born on January 16, 1968, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. His father is of Turkish-Iraqi origin, and his mother is American with Finnish descent. He attended Tabor Academy, an elite boarding prep school in Marion, Massachusetts, where he participated in lacrosse and football. Chokachi later graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, with a degree in political science, before pursuing a career in acting.

Chokachi began his acting career in 1995, gaining widespread recognition for his role as Cody Madison in the television series “Baywatch.” He remained a main cast member until 1999, contributing to the show’s global popularity. Following his departure from “Baywatch,” he took on the role of Jake McCartey in the TV series “Witchblade,” which aired from 2001 to 2002. Throughout the early 2000s, Chokachi appeared in various television series and made-for-TV movies, expanding his acting portfolio.

In 2006, Chokachi secured the role of Justin Healy in “Beyond The Break,” a television series on The N network. His career also includes appearances on reality television, such as VH1’s “Confessions of a Teen Idol” in 2009, where former teen idols sought to revitalize their careers. Beyond television, Chokachi has acted in films such as “Soul Surfer” (2011) and “Emerald Run” (2020), demonstrating his versatility across different genres. His work has been acknowledged, including being named one of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People in the World” in 1997.
