David Wells, known affectionately as “Boomer,” is a celebrated former Major League Baseball pitcher who enjoyed a remarkable 21-season career, playing for nine teams, with notable tenures at the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees. Wells made a significant impact in the league, earning three All-Star selections and achieving the prestigious milestone of pitching a perfect game in 1998, marking the 15th in MLB history. His contributions to the sport were further highlighted by his participation in six postseason campaigns, culminating in two World Series championships.

Wells began his professional journey with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1987, initially serving as a reliever before establishing himself as a starting pitcher. Over six seasons with the Blue Jays, he recorded a 47–46 record and a 3.88 ERA, contributing to the team’s 1992 World Series victory.
