Dennis Erickson

Dennis Erickson is a distinguished Football coach, best known for leading the University of Miami to two national championships in 1989 and 1991. During his highly successful tenure at Miami from 1989 to 1994, he achieved an exceptional .875 winning percentage with a record of 63–9, marking the highest in the program’s history. Erickson began his extensive coaching career as a graduate assistant at Montana State in 1969, swiftly advancing to his first head coaching role at Billings Central Catholic High School in 1970. His collegiate coaching journey included significant assistant positions, serving as offensive coordinator for the University of Idaho (1974-1975), Fresno State (1976-1978), and San Jose State (1979-1981).

In recent years, Erickson served as Assistant Head Coach and Running Backs Coach for the University of Utah from 2014 to 2016. His final head coaching role was with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of Football in 2019. His illustrious career has been further recognized with inductions into the University of Idaho Athletics Hall of Fame (2018), the prestigious College Football Hall of Fame (2019), and the Beavers Athletic Hall of Fame (2020), solidifying his legacy as a highly impactful figure in Football.
