United States Devonte' Graham is an American professional basketball player known for his career as a point guard in the NBA and EuroLeague, transitioning from college prominence to various professional teams.
Devonte' Graham joined NBA veterans Charlie Villanueva, Theo Pinson, and Justin Jackson, alongside NFL Pro Bowler Eric Ebron, as strategic investors in Tidal League. Devonte’ Terrell Graham was born on February 22, 1995, in Raleigh, North Carolina. His basketball journey began at Broughton High School, where he averaged 15.7 points and 5.4 assists per game, leading his team to a 4A state championship game in the 2012–13 season. He further developed his skills during a post-graduate year at Brewster Academy, averaging 17.2 points and 5.0 assists, contributing to national prep and New England championships in 2013–14. Graham then committed to the University of Kansas over other notable programs, marking a significant step in his amateur career.
At Kansas, Graham consistently improved over his four years. As a freshman in 2014-15, he averaged 5.7 points and 2.1 assists. His sophomore year, 2015-16, saw him earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors and MVP of the 2016 Big 12 men’s basketball tournament, averaging 11.3 points. During his junior season in 2016-17, he was named Second Team All-Big 12, averaging 13.4 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.1 rebounds. His senior year, 2017-18, was a culmination of his college career; he was unanimously selected as the Big 12 Player of the Year, a consensus First Team All-American, and led Kansas to the Final Four, averaging 17.6 points and 7.2 assists per game.
Graham was drafted 34th overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks, subsequently traded to the Charlotte Hornets. He played for the Hornets from 2018 to 2021, and during the 2019-2020 NBA season, he averaged a career-high 18.2 points and 7.5 assists per game, finishing 5th in the league’s Most Improved Player voting. He was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2021, where he achieved an NBA record for the longest buzzer-beating game-winner (61 feet) in December 2021. In February 2023, he joined the San Antonio Spurs and later had a brief stint with the Portland Trail Blazers before signing with Crvena Zvezda in the EuroLeague in 2025, South Bay Lakers in 2024, continuing his professional basketball career.
