Dichen Lachman is an extremely prevalent face on our TV and cinema screens.
She has appeared in some of the West’s best loved shows, including Hawaii Five-0, Torchwood, Being Human, Neighbours, The Guild, The Last Ship, Husbands, Last Resort, ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., NCIS: Los Angeles and Dollhouse, a series written by Joss Whedon.
Dichen’s challenging role in Dollhouse was the portrayal of an ‘Active’, otherwise recognised as a ‘doll’. The ‘Active’s’ name is Priya Tsetsang and can be designed to possess any personality and perform any task. This casting really showed-off Dichen’s flare for acting.
From 2010 to 2013, Dichen and her acquaintance Anton King produced a heartwarming romantic comedy called, Lust for Love. Ultimately the film got backed by British filmmaker Jack Wylson, who stepped into the project as producer, Adam Bricker as photography director and Australian actor Adam J. Yeend as co-producer. The film was a runaway success; within hours of its release, Lust For Love peaked within the top 100 movies on iTunes. Several months later, the movie was at No. 5 on iTunes’ independant rankings.
Today, Dichen Lachman is busy working on Netflix’s original TV show, Altered Carbon. An adaptation of Richard K. Morgan’s 2002 novel, the first series first came out in February 2018. A thoroughly prevalent actress and one of 2009’s ‘100 hottest women on screen’, Dichen Lachman remains one of America’s brightest stars.
