As a key figure at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Don McMillan was part of the team responsible for designing the world’s first 32-bit microprocessor. Following this groundbreaking work, McMillan brought his expertise to Silicon Valley, spending six years at VLSI Technology where he designed over 50 standard and Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) designs, many of which remain in use today. His distinguished engineering career was built upon a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
