About

Don Most was born on August 8, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Lehigh University from 1970 to 1973, initially studying engineering before changing to business. During his junior year, he relocated to Hollywood to pursue acting. In 1973, after three auditions, he secured the role of Ralph Malph on the television series “Happy Days.” His character, initially a secondary role, evolved into a main character by the second season, known for comedic timing. Following his success on “Happy Days,” Most continued acting in various film and television productions, demonstrating a broad range across genres.

Beyond acting, Don Most began directing feature films. His directorial debut, “The Last Best Sunday,” premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival in 1999 and won Best Feature at the Telluride IndieFest. His second film, “Moola” (2007), starring William Mapother and Shailene Woodley, was recognized with the Outstanding Achievement in Directing Award at The Newport Beach Film Festival. In 2011, he directed his first family film, “Harley’s Hill,” which was broadcast on Showtime, Starz, and Encore. More recently, Most has returned to his early passion for music, focusing on standards, swing, and big band music. He released a Christmas album, “Swinging Down The Chimney Tonight,” and performs a live show titled “Donny Most Sings and Swings” with a seven-piece band, performing in venues such as Catalina’s Jazz Club and Vitello’s Jazz Club in Los Angeles.
