Duncan Wardle has the distinction of having served as Head of Innovation and Creativity at one of the most innovate and creative corporations in the world – The Walt Disney Company. He spent 30 years in leadership roles at Disney, transforming many aspects of the company’s management and output, and now applies the lessons learned there to businesses and organisations across the world.
During his time at Disney, Wardle served as Vice President of Global Public Relations and Vice President of International Marketing & Sales for the brand’s theme parks, and was part of the team delivering its expansion into cruises and establishing EuroDisney. He worked for the company in Los Angeles, London, Paris, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and worked with Imagineering, Marvel, Pixar, LucasFilm, ESPN, and other of the company’s brands and output.
Since leaving Disney, Wardle has consulted for companies and organisations on their culture of creativity and innovation, and speaks extensively on subjects such as customer experience, storytelling, and theories of creativity. He is a sought-after keynote speaker, has spoken multiple times at TEDx, and has taught masterclasses at educational institutions such as Yale University and the University of North Carolina. He blogs and has contributed to publications including Fast Company Magazine. Wardle was presented with an Outstanding American Citizen Award at the White House in 2008, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from Edinburgh Napier University.
