Duncan Wardle served as Head of Innovation & Creativity at The Walt Disney Company for over 25 years, where he was responsible for driving innovation across divisions including Disney Parks, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar, Imagineering, and Animation. In this pivotal role, Wardle developed strategies for creating new storylines and consumer experiences globally, while also leading the development and implementation of a proprietary ‘Theory of Creativity’ and a unique design thinking creative process. During his tenure, he also contributed significantly to the company’s legacy, including donating original Dumbo and Tea Cup ride vehicles to the Smithsonian to celebrate Disneyland’s 50th anniversary. Following his impactful tenure at Disney, Wardle founded and became CEO of ID8 (IDEATE), a company dedicated to empowering organizations worldwide to unlock their creative potential.
Through ID8, he delivers highly sought-after keynote speeches, masterclass workshops, and consulting services, sharing his proprietary innovation toolkit and methodologies with numerous Fortune 100 companies. His approach focuses on making innovation accessible and creativity tangible for teams at all levels, fostering a culture of creative thinking across diverse industries. Recognized as an award-winning global keynote speaker, Wardle is also a consistent contributor to Fast Company Magazine and has delivered multiple impactful TEDx talks.
