Young stage and screen actor Elena Kampouris has been acting professionally since she was 15 years old. Among her biggest triumphs to date are appearing in a Broadway production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses, and roles in films such as Before I Fall, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, and Shoplifters of the World. She is also building a strong reputation on television with roles such as Minnow in Sacred Lies, Chloe Sampson in Jupiter’s Legacy, and Maya Decker in American Odyssey.
Kampouris was born in New York City in 1997. Her first professional acting role came in 2012 with a part in the popular CW sitcom Gossip Girl. By the end of the following year, she had made her big-screen debut alongside the likes of Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin in Labor Day, co-starred in the Nickelodeon TV film Jinxed, and been snapped up by the William Morris Endeavor Talent Agency. The following year, she appeared in two more Hollywood films: Men, Women & Children, and The Cobbler. In 2015, she appeared in several episodes of American Odyssey, an ambitious NBC drama that featured the US Army in a tale based on Homer’s Greek myth.
Recently, Kampouris’ stock has continued to rise thanks to her continued film parts and her first starring role, that of Minnow in Sacred Lies, a drama series that premiered on Facebook Watch and was subsequently bought by Peacock. With superhero drama Jupiter’s Legacy launching on Netflix in 2021, she will be adding yet another major role to her ever-growing resume.
