Elle Dawe

Ellen (Elle) Dawe, born on February 16, 1981, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, began her acting journey by studying at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. Her career in film and television commenced in 1997, leading to a significant role in 2008. Dawe’s work has primarily been in Australian productions, establishing her as a recognisable figure in the country’s entertainment industry. Throughout her career, she has maintained a professional focus on characters within the comedy genre, coupled with specific film and television appearances.

Her breakthrough came with the SBS series ‘Swift and Shift Couriers’ (2008–2011), where she played Elle Whick for 18 episodes. Following this, she became notably associated with the character Shazza Jones, appearing in multiple series and films produced by SBS and 7mate. This role spanned ‘Housos’ (2011–2013; 2020–present, 23 episodes), ‘Fat Pizza: Back in Business’ (2019–present, 4 episodes), and ‘Bogan Hunters’ (2014, 10 episodes). She further reprised the character in the feature films ‘Housos vs. Authority’ (2012) and ‘Fat Pizza vs. Housos’ (2014).

Beyond these comedic roles, Dawe expanded her acting portfolio to include voice work in the video game ‘Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!’ (2014), where she voiced multiple characters including Annie Swan and Boganella.
