About

Elliot Fletcher was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 30, 1996. He is the son of voice actors Julia Fletcher DeMita and John DeMita. Fletcher transitioned and came out as a trans man shortly after his 17th birthday, adopting the name Elliot and he/him pronouns. His early career included voice work, such as voicing Shiro in the English dub of the anime film “Tekkonkinkreet” (2006).

Fletcher began to gain significant recognition in 2016 when he joined the cast of MTV’s comedy series “Faking It” as Noah. In the same year, he secured a recurring guest-starring role as Aaron, a law student and love interest, in Freeform’s drama series “The Fosters,” appearing in 24 episodes between 2016 and 2018. Further expanding his presence in television, he became a recurring cast member in seasons 7 and 8 of Showtime’s “Shameless,” portraying Trevor, a trans man who develops a relationship with Ian Gallagher. His character Trevor worked for an organization assisting runaway and homeless LGBTQ+ teens, contributing significantly to transgender representation on mainstream television. His continued work earned him a spot on the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 List.

In recent years, Fletcher has continued to build his acting portfolio. He played Max in an episode of the third season of Hulu’s “Marvel’s Runaways” in 2019. In 2020, he contributed as a creative consultant for the documentary film “Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen.” Fletcher joined the main cast of FX on Hulu’s post-apocalyptic series “Y: The Last Man” in 2021 as Sam Jordan, a transgender man. In 2022, he had a guest appearance in “The Sex Lives of College Girls.” His voice acting roles include Pelagos in the video game “World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” (2020) and Noppo in the English dub of “Drifting Home” (2022). In 2024, he co-created and co-executive produced the podcast series “Bloodhound,” where he also voiced the character Jay Pulver.
