Elsie Fisher

Elsie Fisher, born on April 3, 2003, in Riverside, California, began their acting career at the age of six, making an early appearance in the television series “Medium” in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, Fisher lent their voice to the character of Masha in the English dub of the animated children’s series “Masha and the Bear.” A significant early milestone was voicing Agnes in the animated film “Despicable Me” (2010) and its sequel “Despicable Me 2” (2013), roles that brought them wider recognition. Their work extended to live-action as a child actor, including a supporting role in the 2015 sports drama “McFarland, USA.”

In 2018, Fisher achieved critical acclaim for their starring role as Kayla Day, a socially-struggling teenager, in Bo Burnham’s comedy-drama film “Eighth Grade.” This performance garnered numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, marking a significant turning point in their career.
