Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, known as ‘Win,’ was born in Bangkok, Thailand on February 21, 1999. He is the third of four siblings and has Chinese ancestry. He completed his secondary education at Panyarat High School, where he participated in an international exchange student program at Belmond-Klemme Community School District in Iowa, United States. During his exchange year, he was active in extracurricular activities, including the school band’s percussion choir, American football, and the high school soccer team. After returning to Thailand and passing his GED, he enrolled in the international program at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Economics, graduating in 2020. His humanitarian efforts include participating in UNICEF’s ‘The Sound of Happiness’ campaign in July 2020 to promote mental health awareness among youth. In early 2024, he joined the ‘Humans Against Dengue’ campaign in Southeast Asia, and in September 2024, he participated in the ‘Miracle Is All Around’ seminar for the Lymphoma Society of Thailand. In June 2025, he was appointed a celebrity supporter for UNHCR Thailand and also supported the Thai Red Cross Society’s ‘BLOOD CONNECT’ campaign.
Metawin entered the entertainment industry as a trainee with ONE31 before signing with GMMTV in 2019. His acting debut in the Thai drama ‘2gether’ in 2020 brought him international recognition. In his first year, Vogue Magazine recognized him as one of the “100 Influential People in the Fashion Industry of Thailand.” His subsequent role in ‘F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers’ Further cemented his status. His popularity has led to him becoming a sought-after endorser for both local and international brands. Metawin is also an entrepreneur, founding the fashion brand Velence in June 2020, co-founding the confectionery business Souri with his sister Mintra in the same year, and launching another dessert shop, Cosie, in December 2024. He holds shares and serves as a director in multiple companies, becoming a major shareholder of The One Enterprise Public Company Limited (ONEE) in March 2025.
His career includes notable film and television roles such as Tine Teepakorn Aekaranwong in ‘2gether’ (2020) and ‘2gether: The Movie’ (2021), Kavin Taemiyaklin Kittiyangkul in ‘F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers’ (2021-2022), Namcha Chanawee Chaiwat in ‘Devil Sister’ (2022), and Ajin Nakaritta in ‘Enigma’ (2023-2025). He has received numerous awards, including the LINE Thailand People’s Choice Award (Best Couple) in 2020, the Asia Celebrity Award (Television/Film) at the Asia Artist Awards in 2021, the AFA Rising Star Award at the 17th Asian Film Awards in 2024, and the Outstanding Asian Star (Thailand) at the Seoul International Drama Awards in 2024. Forbes recognized him in their 30 Under 30 Asia class of 2023.
