Emmy Raver-Lampman

Emmy Raver-Lampman, born Emily Christine Raver Lampman on September 5, 1988, in Norfolk, Virginia, established herself in the performing arts beginning in musical theater. She was adopted as a newborn, with her mother Sharon working as a professor at Old Dominion University, and her father Greg as a writer and teacher. Her early life included extensive travel to over 50 countries and periods living in the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and India due to her mother’s work. She attended the Governor’s School for the Arts and Maury High in Norfolk, followed by Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, graduating in 2012.

Her professional acting career commenced in musical theater, securing her first role in a May 2010 production of “Children of Eden” at the Astoria Performing Arts Center while still in college. This led to joining the national tour of “Hair” in 2010, marking her Broadway debut when the production returned in 2011. She continued to perform in major Broadway and touring productions, including “Jekyll & Hyde” (2012-2013), “A Night with Janis Joplin” (2013-2014), and a national tour of “Wicked” as Elphaba’s standby (2014-2015). A significant career milestone was her casting in the original ensemble of “Hamilton” on Broadway in 2015, where she also understudied the lead female roles of Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy/Maria Reynolds. She later toured with “Hamilton” as Angelica Schuyler from March to December 2017.

Raver-Lampman transitioned into film and television with her breakthrough role as Allison Hargreeves in the Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy,” which premiered in 2019. This series achieved significant viewership, becoming Netflix’s third most popular in 2019. In 2020, she took on the voice role of Molly Tillerman in the Apple TV+ series “Central Park.” Her film credits include “Blacklight” (2022) as Mira Jones and “The Beekeeper” (2024) portraying FBI Agent Verona Parker. She is also slated to appear in “The Beekeeper 2” and “That’s Her,” both currently filming or in post-production.
