Emmy Raver-Lampman is a versatile American actress and singer, celebrated for her standout role as Allison Hargreeves in the popular Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy.”
Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, Emmy’s journey into the arts began at the Governor’s School for the Arts before she pursued a BA in Theater at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. Her career blossomed on stage, where she showcased her immense talent in a variety of Broadway and national touring productions. Notable credits include performances in “Hair,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “A Night With Janis Joplin,” and “Wicked.” In 2015, she joined the ensemble of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s revolutionary musical “Hamilton,” a role that highlighted her exceptional vocal prowess and stage presence.
Emmy’s career took her to Chicago, where she took on a lead role in “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical.” However, she returned to “Hamilton” in 2017, this time starring as Angelica Schuyler in the first national tour of the production, showcasing her versatility and ability to embody complex characters.
Beyond theater, Emmy has made a mark in film with her role in the independent feature “Wednesdays” (2020), demonstrating her depth as a performer.
