Eric Bauza

Eric Bauza was born on December 7, 1979, in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is of Filipino descent. His early exposure to classic cartoons like Looney Tunes, fostered a keen interest in animation and voice work. Bauza pursued an education at Centennial College, graduating in 2000. His professional journey began with an internship at Spümcø, an animation studio, transitioning later to a production assistant role for projects like “Weekend Pussy Hunt” and “The Ripping Friends.” His voice acting career commenced with a role in the latter production. A significant turning point in his career was taking over the voice of Stimpy in “Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon,” succeeding Billy West. This led to a range of roles in animated series such as “El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera,” “The Fairly OddParents,” and “Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island!”.

Bauza has consistently expanded his repertoire across diverse animated programs. He voiced Lord Stingray in “Superjail!” on Adult Swim and Marvin the Martian in “The Looney Tunes Show.” He also contributed to “Ben 10: Omniverse” as Dr. Psychobos. His involvement with the web series “Dick Figures” included roles like the Genie of the Teapot and the main antagonist Lord Takagami in “Dick Figures: The Movie.” He also lent his voice to Buhdeuce in “Breadwinners” and the titular character in Netflix’s “The Adventures of Puss in Boots.” His ability to perform a variety of voices has made him a prominent figure in the voice acting community.

A notable achievement in Bauza’s career is becoming a successor to Mel Blanc, providing voices for many Looney Tunes characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety, and Marvin the Martian. For his work on “Looney Tunes Cartoons,” he received the first Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice Performance in an Animated Program (2022). He further garnered Emmy Awards for his performances in “Bugs Bunny Builders” (2023) and “Teen Titans Go!” (2024). Beyond his extensive voice acting credits, Bauza has also hosted “Stay Tooned,” a documentary series on the cultural impact of cartoons for CBC Gem (2022). He has also taken over roles in “Bob’s Burgers,” voicing Robert “Big Bob” Belcher Sr. and Jimmy Pesto, demonstrating his adaptability in the industry.
