Eric Devendorf is a basketball pro from Syracuse University, New York City. Responsible for one of the most memorable and iconic moments in basketball history for Syracuse, Devendorf began his career playing at the well-recognised Oak Hill Academy, and during his senior year, the team was ranked number one nationally, while Devendorf himself was labelled one of the top players in the country, earning Parade and McDonald All American Honors. Moving on to Syracuse, he played three seasons with the team and went on to become ranked among the top leaders in points scored.
The success led Devendorf to play professionally in both the NBA D-League, for a wonderful seven seasons, but also overseas, including travelling to Ukraine, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Australia and New Zealand, before returning to his university to work with the Men’s Basketball Program. However, since returning to the country, Devendorf’s main focus has been his own personal venture, ED23 Hoops. The company aims to help children and young people from high school all the way through to professional athletes to develop their skills further and build their knowledge of the game.
Devendorf also hosts a variety of charity events throughout the year with his university, including shoe and coat drives for those in need, as well as back to school events in his local community. He made headlines throughout the COVID pandemic too, by posting regular sports videos for children in place of the school PE lessons they were missing.
