About

Evan Evagora was born in Melbourne, Australia, the youngest of seven children. His mother, Marie, is of New Zealand and Cook Island Maori descent and moved to Australia from Auckland at age 20. His father, Xristos, immigrated to Australia from Cyprus at age three. Evagora grew up in Melbourne, attending Kew High School. During his youth, he excelled in sports, taking up boxing at a young age under the guidance of his father, an ex-professional boxer, and also played Australian rules football. He won a state boxing championship and competed in football finals for the Fitzroy Football Club.

After completing high school, Evagora took a gap year, traveling across Europe with friends. Upon his return, he enrolled in film school in South Melbourne. While studying film, he was scouted as a model by a company that also represented actors. This led him to move to Sydney to pursue an acting career, eventually relocating to Los Angeles.

Evagora’s acting career saw significant progression with notable roles. In 2019, he appeared in an uncredited role in the TV series “Secret City.” His breakthrough came with a starring role as Nick Taylor in the 2020 film “Fantasy Island.” Concurrently, he gained international recognition for his role as Elnor, a Romulan hand-to-hand combat expert, in the television series “Star Trek: Picard,” appearing in 15 episodes from 2020 to 2022. This made him the first Australian to be a regular cast member in a “Star Trek” TV series. In 2021, he had a role in an episode of “Home and Away.” His work extends to video games, where he provided voice, motion capture, and likeness for the character Nicholas “Nick” Furcillo in “The Quarry” (2022). Evagora is also credited as a producer for the upcoming short film “Anomaly,” in which he also acts as Austin.
